Why Chemistry?
Chemistry is a fascinating subject and studying it helps us to understand our world. If you've ever thought to yourself, "Chemistry doesn't apply to me," think again. Chemistry is cooking: that delicious sauce? That's a mixture of chemicals. Why does soap work better in hot water than cold? Chemical properties. Why does one pain reliever specifically target that migraine you've been fighting? Chemical reactions.

About Our Class
In Ms. Wilson's chemistry class, we will explore chemistry at the microscopic level of atoms all the way to the macroscopic level that we can see with the naked eye. Our class will take a hands on/minds on approach to chemistry. Students are expected to learn by doing. We employ classroom discussions, group activities, and lab experiments to help students make connections between topics in the textbook and what they look like in real life.
